Collecting Branches

Visual research is a process of wandering among trees and books. The series of images above is a selection from my ongoing observation of trees in their many shapes and forms, with my various ways of looking. More specifically, these are steps in my research on the tree trunk letter and in the design process of the connected typeface “Takjes”.
